so what do YOU guys hate most about Hugo Schwyzer?
Hugo ol’ boy is an admitted narcissict who likely tracks his tag on Tumblr.
He also has the lovely habit of posting obviously-not-going-to-happen threats (I wish a meterorite would fall on him, I wish he would fall in a volcano etc, things that really won’t happen) on his Twitter as evidence that his critics are just a bunch of hysterical, overreacting mean girls.
I also have the suspicion that he’s more likely to link to especially disenfranchised women over more privileged women because you know. He’s an awful human being who very much takes advantage of his WASP-y background to literally get away with attempted murder. He knows how to work the system and he know who the system will let him hurt the most.
He of course will not retire or stop from writing and profitting off abusing and mistreating women and calling it ‘feminism’. He’s an admitted abuser of women.
Nor will sites like Role/Reboot or Jezebel stop publishing him because they don’t care about women so much as they care about profit and page clicks and Schwyzer does bring that in.
But I think criticizing him is important because I want people to Google him and find out what he’s done to women, how he hurt so many women and how he profits off hurting women and refuses to accept how women might not trust him afterwards and are triggered and upset by his very presence in nominally pro-women spaces.
